Hart Veterinary Centre has been caring for pets and their people since 1993 and operates across two modern sites in Bicester and Waddesdon. Our Bicester site is a well-equipped 24-hour hospital with dedicated night nurses, allowing for excellent continuity of care and gold-standard treatment.

You’ll be working within a small, friendly team of vets and nurses who value collaboration, clinical excellence and a positive working environment. Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental suite, in-house laboratory equipment, modern anaesthetic monitoring and separate cat and dog wards. We are also proud to be a Silver Standard ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic, promoting low-stress handling and patient-focused care.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases', contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 

Deliver nursing care across theatre, inpatient and consultation settings 

Support anaesthesia, surgery and patient monitoring 

Support anaesthesia, surgery and patient monitoring 

Work collaboratively with the team to deliver excellent patient and client care 

Contribute to maintaining a balanced rota across ops, hospital and clinics 

Work a 4-day week with a shared weekend rota and no out-of-hours commitments

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring: 

Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS 
Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing 
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues 
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively 
A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
