Speyside Vets has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nurse to join our friendly team on a permanent basis.
A Role You'll Love
During the early shift, you will set up for the day and assist with surgeries between 9am and 10am. After that, you will support the late nurse by helping the vets with diagnostics such as blood sampling, radiographs, and ultrasound scans. You will also assist with discharging in-patients and managing nurse appointments throughout the day.
When on the late shift, you will take over as the surgical nurse from 10:15am. Surgeries vary from routine neutering and dentistry to orthopaedics. You will continue to support diagnostics and cover nurse appointments during evening surgeries as needed. Both early and late nurses share responsibilities for ordering drugs, consumables, and equipment, ensuring the smooth running of the clinic. This alternating shift pattern provides excellent opportunities to develop a wide range of skills.
Working Hours
This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Your shifts will alternate weekly between an early shift from 7:45am to 3:45pm and a late shift from 10:15am to 6:15pm. Additionally, you will work one Saturday morning in four, from 9:00am to 12:00pm, at our Aberlour branch.
We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern we are happy to discuss a working pattern to suit your needs.
