Start Your Nursing Career with Confidence

Are you ready to take the first step in your veterinary nursing career in a supportive, welcoming and progressive environment?

Clontarf Veterinary Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity for a Final Year Student Veterinary Nurse or newly qualified RVN to join our team and build a strong, confident foundation in practice. If you’re eager to learn, keen to get hands-on, and want to be surrounded by people who are invested in your growth — you’ll feel right at home here.

Learn, Grow and Develop Every Day

This role is designed to give you the very best start in practice. As a graduate or student nurse, you’ll be supported every step of the way with structured onboarding, hands-on training, and day-to-day mentorship from an experienced and approachable team.

You’ll gain exposure to all aspects of small animal nursing in a busy, first-opinion environment, developing your confidence in areas such as surgical nursing, anaesthesia, inpatient care and nurse consultations. Importantly, you’ll be encouraged to ask questions, build your skills at your own pace, and gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence grows.

A Supportive Environment Where You Can Thrive

At Clontarf, you’ll be part of a well-established, collaborative team who genuinely enjoy working together. You’ll be surrounded by experienced vets, nurses and support staff who are passionate about delivering high standards of care — and equally passionate about supporting and developing junior team members.

As part of the wider Anicare Veterinary Group, you’ll also have access to a broader network of knowledge, learning opportunities and peer support across multiple Dublin clinics.

Designed with Work-Life Balance in Mind

We understand how important balance is, especially when you’re starting out in your career. This role offers a structured and sustainable rota, typically working a 4-day week with approximately 1.5 weekends in 6, alongside a supportive approach to flexibility where possible.

There are no out-of-hours or overnight commitments, allowing you to focus on developing your skills while maintaining a healthy routine outside of work.

Who This Role Is Perfect For

This opportunity is ideal for a Student Veterinary Nurse nearing qualification in 2026 or a newly graduated RVN who is eligible (or soon to be eligible) to register with the VCI.

You’ll be someone who is enthusiastic, motivated to learn, and enjoys being part of a team. A positive attitude, willingness to get involved, and a genuine passion for animal care are far more important than experience — we’ll support you with the rest.

Support Beyond Your First Role

Joining Anicare means more than just starting a job — it’s the beginning of a long-term career pathway.

You’ll benefit from structured development programmes, including dedicated graduate nurse support and access to internal training academies, helping you build confidence and continue developing your clinical and professional skills. As your experience grows, there will be opportunities to explore different areas of interest and progress within the group.

A Place Where You Belong

We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, friendly and respectful environment where everyone feels supported and valued. From your first day, you’ll be part of a team that wants you to succeed.
