We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Abington Park Vets on a full-time basis. Part-time applications will also be considered.
Abington Park Vets is a well-equipped, modern referral hospital offering an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist surgical environment. Based across our Moulton and Abington sites, this role sits within our surgical referral team, working closely with experienced surgeons and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Our hospital is equipped with advanced facilities including CT, MRI, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory supported by a dedicated lab technician. With a busy and varied caseload including complex orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures, this is an ideal environment for nurses looking to develop and refine their skills in surgical and anaesthetic nursing.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of surgical referral patients, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the hospital.
This is a dynamic and hands-on role focused on theatre and surgical support. You will be heavily involved in anaesthesia, surgical preparation, and assisting with complex procedures, playing a key role in ensuring patient safety and high clinical standards throughout the surgical process.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week across 5 days, with shifts between 7:30am and 7:00pm, and a 1 in 8 Saturday morning rota. There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday requirements.
