Start Your Nursing Career the Right Way

If you’re a newly qualified or junior Veterinary Nurse looking for a supportive first step into practice life, All Care Veterinary Centre offers the ideal environment to learn, grow, and gain confidence at your own pace.

We’re a friendly, well-established small animal practice in Walkinstown, known for our loyal clients, high standards of care, and genuinely welcoming team. This role is perfect for a graduate or junior nurse who wants hands-on experience across all areas of nursing - without the pressure of out-of-hours or on-call work.

A Role That Supports Learning and Balance

This is a full-time, permanent position working a 40-hour week, with shifts spread across Monday to Saturday. Typical shifts are either 8am–4pm or 11am–7pm, giving a nice balance across the week.

Weekend work is shared fairly, with up to two Saturdays per month (8am–3pm). There is no out-of-hours, no Sundays, and no bank holiday work, allowing you to enjoy a healthy work–life balance from the very beginning of your career.

Learn, Develop, and Get Truly Involved

As a nurse at All Care, you’ll be trusted with meaningful responsibility while being fully supported by the team around you. Your day-to-day work will include surgical nursing, medical and clinical nursing, inpatient care, dentistry, radiography, laboratory sampling and testing, infection control, dispensary management, and client communication.

You’ll be encouraged to build confidence in patient care and take ownership of your role, while always having experienced colleagues on hand to guide and mentor you. This is a brilliant opportunity to develop well-rounded nursing skills in a practice that values learning and teamwork.

A Modern Practice With a Great Team Culture

All Care Veterinary Centre is fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, and dental facilities, allowing you to work to a high clinical standard. Our team includes 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, a student nurse, practice manager, and receptionist, creating a close-knit and supportive environment where everyone plays a key role.

We pride ourselves on our positive atmosphere, strong communication, and shared commitment to excellent patient care and client service.

Who We’re Looking For

You must be registered or eligible to register with the VCI. While some experience in basic nursing duties is helpful, we are very happy to consider new graduates who are keen to learn and develop in practice.

More than anything, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude – a team player who shows initiative, cares deeply about patients, and enjoys being part of a progressive, supportive workplace.

Graduate nurses will also have access to our Nurse Academy, which provides structured support, learning resources, and mentoring during your first years in practice.
