We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Lime Tree Vets on a full-time basis.

Lime Tree Vets is a busy first opinion and referral hospital located in the heart of Staffordshire, offering a fantastic opportunity to work within a varied and dynamic clinical environment. Our practice combines high-quality first opinion care with specialist referral services, alongside a strong focus on teaching and mentoring within the team.

We have recently refurbished one of our branch surgeries into a dedicated feline clinic, proudly accredited as an ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic. Our modern, well-equipped facilities include separate theatres and prep areas, digital and dental x-ray, CT, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery and multi-parameter monitoring, allowing us to deliver a high standard of care across a diverse caseload.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     

    As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

     

    You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

     

    Working Pattern

     
  • 40 hours per week 
  • 4-day working week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7:00am and 7:00pm 
  • Shifts vary on a rota basis and include a 30-minute unpaid break 
  • No out-of-hours or weekend requirements, with support from an external emergency care provider 
  •  

    General Responsibilities

     
  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across both first opinion and referral caseloads 
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing 
  • Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery 
  • Run and support nurse clinics, contributing to preventative healthcare and client education

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
