About the role

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to complete our lovely, friendly team of 5 at Delaware Veterinary Group. We currently have 3 RVN's, 1 SVN and 1 VCA at our Yeovil small animal practice site in beautiful Somerset.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills, all essential to work well in a team. We are passionate about our client care and the care of their pets.

The usual nursing duties are expected involving inpatient hospital care, theatre practice and laboratory work. Outpatient nursing care is equally important as we run busy nurse clinics. There is a small amount of reception cover required especially for holidays.

Working hours

This is a full-time position and our current team work 37.5 hours per week including weekend hours, but we can offer a full 40 hour per week contract if interested.

You will be required to work 1 in 5 Saturday mornings, 1 in 10 inpatient weekends and 1 weekday inpatient duty, with a 1 in 5 Friday inpatient duty.

There is no emergency on call but the rota is in place to look after inpatients that are not transferred to our out of hours provider.
