Here at Downland Vet Group, we are proud of our excellent reputation among both clients and staff, built on a supportive and nurturing culture. Our team is passionate about delivering the very best care for our patients and outstanding service to our clients, and we work hard every day to uphold these standards. We are committed to continuous improvement and development, always striving to provide the highest quality veterinary care possible. We are proudly RCVS Practice Standards accredited Small Animal GP at The Goffs and Hailsham surgeries, and Core Standards at Stone Cross surgery. We are also a registered Training Practice for student veterinary nurses and have a VetGDP adviser for graduate vets. In addition, we are working towards becoming an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic and as a team would love to work towards further RCVS Awards.
You will work across three fantastic sites, at both Goffs and Hailsham surgeries. We have two consulting rooms, nurse clinics, full dentistry facilities including dental x-rays, theatre and prep rooms, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, in-house laboratory and diagnostics, separate dog & cat wards, an isolation ward, and a mobile ultrasound machine. At Stone Cross Surgery, the most popular of all, we have two consulting rooms and a non-stop waiting area, with procedures to either Goffs or Hailsham. All 3 surgeries have free parking nearby and are surrounded by local amenities. Hailsham and Stone Cross are recently renovated, and our Goffs surgery is currently being renovated, with a reopening due in August 2026.
Within our team, we have 7 Vets, 11 Nurses (including 3 students) and 8 support staff, working across the three surgeries sharing the same vision for growth within our practice. Our clinical team each bring something different to the table, each having their own areas of interest, which we strongly encourage. We do have certificate holders amongst the team too - ECC, Geriatric Medicine and Soft Tissue Surgery. We have regular Visiting Vets for orthopaedic surgery, endoscopy, advanced ultrasonography and ophthalmology.
We’re committed to supporting our people through career development opportunities, wellbeing initiatives and access to world-class learning resources.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take the next step in your career, inspiring vet care offers the support, opportunity and community to help you grow.
