The typical day involves admitting and preparing animals for surgery including monitoring patient status, anaesthesia, accurate record-keeping, pre and post-surgery observations, stock ordering, assisting vets with surgical procedures and consultations, running nurse consultations, discharging pets.
We are looking for a qualified, or recently qualified, Nurse who has good general nursing skills and who enjoys variety within their role. We have a mix of surgical, inpatient, lab and consulting shifts.
Cambridge Veterinary Group is located near the city centre close to the rail station, and we are a first opinion small animal practice well known for our significant exotic case load and high standards of care. We have all the normal veterinary equipment as well as having scopes, dental x-ray, and a lot of exotic-focussed specialist equipment.

The role is full time, 40 hours per week, with a shared rota of 8 hour weekday shifts varying from 7:30am start to 11am start with middle shifts as well. The weekends are Saturday mornings with occasional weekend inpatient cover, 1 in 6, with the practice open from 8:30am to 12:30pm. There is no OOH requirement. Salary up to £28,000.
