We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Tern Vets in Newport on a full-time basis. Part-time applications will also be considered.

Tern Vets is based on the outskirts of Newport, a beautiful town in Shropshire with great amenities and glorious surrounding countryside. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team that is passionate about putting patients first and delivering high standards of client care.

Our team includes 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses and a dedicated support team who work together to ensure the day runs smoothly. The practice is well-equipped with ultrasound, x-ray including dental x-ray, endoscopy, two theatres, four consult rooms and an in-house laboratory.

    How You’ll Make a Difference

     

    As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

     

    You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

     

    Working Pattern

     
  •  Up to 40 hours per week 
  •  4-day working week, 8:30am to 6:30pm 
  •  Flexibility can be considered for shorter shifts over 5 days 
  •  Full-time or part-time applications considered 
  •  

    General Responsibilities

     
  •  Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload 
  •  Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing 
  •  Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery 
  •  Run nurse clinics and consults, contributing to preventative healthcare and client education 
  •
