Are you looking for the next step in your careers? We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Nurse to join our team within the Lynton Veterinary Group. You wil be based at our practice in Spinney Hill where you will be supporting 1.5 Vets, 1 RVN an SVN, ANA and reception team.
We provide a varied working day for our nursing team, duties depend on the shift but include anaesthetic monitoring, care of inpatients, nurse consultations, drug dispensing, lab work, and maintaining a sterile work environment. The role will allow for great clinical exposure and the opportunity to work amongst a friendly and supportive team.
Our Rota
This is a full-time position. Typically, you will work 40 hours per week over 5 days with 1in4 Saturdays 8am - 4:30pm with a day off in lieu. There is no OOH. Saturdays are based at our site in Horsell.
Our long-established practice
We are a long-established, Small Animal Veterinary Group based in Woking, Bagshot, and Addlestone. As a progressive practice, we recently relocated to our brand new, purpose-built practice in Woking, and continue to invest to refurbish and equip our other 2 practices to the same high standard. We also have a purpose-built grooming salon at our main site. One of the most important things to us here at Lynton is our history and local “Village Vet” reputation for providing the highest level of service and value for all our clients. Therefore, we have a loyal client base and a gold standard reputation across the local community.
Our Spinney Hill clinic is a Grade II listed building with anaesthetic monitoring, theatre, dental machine, ultrasound machine, two consultation rooms, laboratory, x-ray room, kennels and reception.
Our experienced and supportive team
We have 9 Veterinary Surgeons across the group who are supported by a great team of 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, ANA's and experienced Receptionists. We have a team work culture in practice and have embedded true support amongst the team and have 4 Mental Health First Aiders within the group. Each practice has an essential SOS chocolate station and we are never short of cake with some excellent bakers across the group. The mental and physical well-being of the team is paramount to us - we like to show our support both in-house and externally by taking part in charity events such as "Ride for Dementia" and "Relay for Life" in aid of cancer research.
