Lead with impact. Shape the future of two respected practices on the North Norfolk coast.

Are you an experienced and forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon who’s ready for a role with real influence?
We’re seeking a Director of Practice & Clinical Services to provide clinical leadership, people development and strategic direction across two well-established, community-centred practices: Miramar Vets in Sheringham and Glaven Vets in Holt & Wells-next-the-Sea.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a leader who enjoys balancing high-quality clinical work with shaping culture, standards and growth at practice level—without the pressure of out-of-hours and with flexible working to support your lifestyle.

What This Role Offers You

  • A senior leadership position where your decisions genuinely shape how we deliver care
  • Protected time for leadership, mentoring and strategy—not just squeezed around consults
  • Support from experienced Practice Managers and an engaged regional operations team
  • The opportunity to drive clinical excellence, team wellbeing and future direction
  • A role where your voice is heard, valued and backed by a supportive leadership structure
  • A North Norfolk lifestyle with beaches, countryside and vibrant coastal towns on your doorstep

  • Your Core Responsibilities

In this hybrid leadership/clinical role, you will:

    Clinical & Standards Leadership

  • Set and maintain high clinical and professional standards across both sites
  • Champion evidence-based medicine and encourage continuous development
  • Provide senior clinical support, case guidance and oversight

  • People & Team Development

  • Mentor and coach vets, RVNs and support teams
  • Help build a positive, collaborative and learning-focused culture
  • Play a key role in recruitment, onboarding and retention

  • Strategic & Operational Direction

  • Work alongside Practice Managers to shape the future of both practices
  • Support clinical protocol development and compliance
  • Contribute to business planning, service development and client experience initiatives

  • Clinical work will form part of your week, but your leadership remit will be fully supported with protected time.

    About You

    You will be:

  • An MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical abilities
  • Experienced in leading teams, or ready to step confidently into a senior leadership position
  • A strong communicator who thrives on supporting others to grow
  • Passionate about delivering excellent care and driving improvements
  • Curious, commercially aware and ready to influence practice direction

  • If you love developing people, elevating standards and working collaboratively, this role will feel like home.
