Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital are looking for a dedicated Animal Nursing Assistant to join their fantastic team.
 
The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following tasks: assisting the nursing team with the setup of surgical procedures, providing support by holding patients for the veterinarians and nurses, cleaning and maintaining clinical areas, organizing and putting away supplies, as well as restocking and managing the cleaning and packaging of sterile equipment and theatre attire. Additional duties will include handling laundry and ensuring organization within the facility, as well as managing cats in our Radioactive Iodine Unit (with full training provided). You will also be required to cover shifts at both the reception and in our Boarding Cattery.

Our RCVS-accredited Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital is expanding, and we are seeking a passionate and experienced small animal veterinary surgeon with a strong interest in internal medicine to join our exceptional team. You'll work alongside 15 Veterinary Surgeons, 14 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 5 Student Registered Nurses, and 5 Animal Nursing Assistants in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built hospital located on the edge of a charming Cotswold market town.
 
Our team includes a Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine, as well as Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Medicine and ECC. We also regularly host a referral dermatologist. We receive referrals from across the country for exotic pet care and radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroid cats, and locally for outpatient CT scanning, as well as certain internal medicine and orthopaedic surgery cases.
 
Our hospital is fully equipped with in-house lab facilities, a DR x-ray system, dental x-ray, a 64-slice CT scanner, an extensive range of flexible and rigid endoscopes, an ultrasound scanner with colour Doppler, comprehensive orthopaedic equipment, a slit lamp, a tonometer, and more.

    Your shift pattern


    You will work 40 hours per week on a varied rota with shifts ranging between the hours of 7am and 11pm. It will also include a weekend rota of 3 weekend days every 8 weeks.
