We are part of a large and busy practice with a busy caseload. We see a variety of small animal patients including exotics. We have a range of up-to-date equipment including, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment.
Our practice has been established in the local area for over 100 years and we have a long history of training and supporting student nurses.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of nursing duties while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day-to-day practice.
Working Pattern
40 hours per week
Weekday shifts vary between 8am and 8pm
1 in 4 Saturdays until 4.30pm and 1 in 12 Saturdays until 12.30pm
Training at college takes place over 30-36 months. To meet the entry requirements of college a minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade A-C or 9-4) including English Language, Maths and Science is required.
Key Responsibilities
This position would offer the opportunity for hands-on experience in all aspects of veterinary nursing to include animal husbandry, radiography, anaesthesia, client care and laboratory work under supervision. You will be supported by our experienced team of vets, nurses and support staff.
