An opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Veterinary Nurse position has become available at Park Veterinary Centre. This vacancy is open to candidates who wish to start their nursing career as well as first- and second-year students who have already started their training.
 
Park Veterinary Centre is a well-established first opinion practice, with roots in Hertfordshire going back over 100 years. We are a training practice and hold RVCS GP status. We offer Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, Digital and Dental X-Ray, as well as a range of monitoring equipment. We are situated in Watford, surrounded by beautiful countryside, with easy access to train stations and London, approximately 35 minutes away.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
 
As a Student Veterinary Nurse, you will be supported and encouraged to develop both your clinical and non-clinical skills while working towards qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. 
 
You’ll be an integral part of the practice team, supporting patient care under the guidance of veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of nursing duties, while progressing through your training programme and developing confidence in your day-to-day practice. 
 
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 5 days, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota. You will be required to attend college one day a week for 30-30 months. The training centre we are affiliated with is the College of Animal Welfare, situated in North London.
 
This position would offer the opportunity for hands-on experience in all aspects of veterinary nursing, including animal husbandry, radiography, anaesthesia, client care, and laboratory work, under supervision. You will be supported by our team of vets, nurses and support staff.

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade A-C or 9-4), including English Language, Maths and Science, is required
