We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at London Road Veterinary Centre on a part-time basis.

Our two-site, small animal practice in Norfolk has a great reputation for clinical quality, kindness and teamwork. You’ll be working alongside 7 vets, 7 RVNs, 2 patient care assistants, and 7 client care colleagues in a spacious, air-conditioned practice near the beautiful North Norfolk coast.
We’re well equipped with digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, endoscopy, anaesthetic monitoring, in-house lab, suction and infusion pumps, and we’re proud to be an ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic. We have species-specific kennel areas, a separate dental suite, prep room, sterile theatre and more—ensuring we can deliver the highest standards of care.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role working 25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

Answering the telephones promptly, dealing with queries or redirecting appropriately.

Booking appointments and processing prescription requests.

Register clients, recording information accurately on our IT system.

Handling cash, process credit/debit card payments and cheque payments.

Maintain the reception & waiting room areas.

Placing orders as well as unpacking an order and stock rotating new stock with old stock.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and professional individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist. While previous experience in a veterinary receptionist environment would be advantageous, it is not essential. A valid driving license is required for this role.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to build a strong rapport with our clients. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential, as is a proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to solve problems as they arise.

You should be comfortable using computers and confident in your ability to learn and navigate a new practice management system. We value individuals who take ownership and pride in their work and who can consistently maintain high standards in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
