We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced part-time Yard Technician to join our team here at Pool House Equine Hospital!
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly professional, yard technician, with first-class horse handling , care skills and communication to join a professional equine hospital.
you will be working Tuesday-Friday 12:30pm-6:30pm with weekends on a rota system. The salary will be up to £14,500 DOE per annum.
The successful candidate will be:
Looking after the day to day care of the horses within the hospital who are in patients or day patients.Assisting with the clinical work within the hospital and sometimes on the road.Lunging, trotting up, holding for examinations/procedures and or diagnosis.Daily miscellaneous horse, pony, foal or donkey care.
What we're looking for in our Yard Technician
Previous equine experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!Experience of working in a busy and challenging yard environment, with the ability to adapt to change and multi-taskResilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situationsAn excellent communicator with strong empathyExcellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the publicA positive attitude and excellent teamwork skillsBio security knowledge.
