Cedarmount Veterinary Clinic is a busy Veterinary Clinic in Bangor, Co Down and is part of Independent Vetcare. We are a dedicated team of enthusiastic people, all working together to provide the best possible care for our pets and clients.
As a Receptionist you will often be the first point of contact for clients either in person, on the phone or via email. Our receptionists are vital vital in supporting clients before and during their visit to the practice, as well as ensuring accurate collection of information to identify the best procedure to deal with a variety of circumstances from the excited new puppy consult, to end-of-life situations. On site training will be available to ensure understanding of practice policies and IT systems.
Your duties will include:
Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinicAnswer phone calls and schedule appointmentsCollect and update patient information in the computer systemAssist with filing and organizing medical recordsHandle financial transactions, including processing payments and insurance claimsProvide basic information to clients about services offered by the clinicMaintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Our ideal candidate
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred but experience in other animal care roles will be considered.Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalismProficient in using computer systems for scheduling appointments and managing patient recordsAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
About the rota and salary
This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week. There will be day time shifts on variable patterns between 8:00am and 8:00pm with some Saturday mornings until 2:00pm.
The salary for this role will be up to £20,893 DOE per annum.
