Launch Your ECC Career While You Study

Are you a student veterinary nurse looking to gain hands-on experience in a real clinical setting?

This is a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence, develop practical skills, and gain exposure to emergency and critical care cases alongside your studies.

At AllPets Veterinary Hospital, we’re introducing a brand-new out-of-hours emergency service, and we’re looking for a motivated student nurse to join our twilight team.

A Role Built Around Your Studies

We know your studies come first — that’s why this role is designed with flexibility in mind:

Sunday & Bank Holiday shifts: 2:30pm – 7:30pm

Optional overnight back-up on-call during the week (outside term time / college hours)

This means you can gain valuable clinical experience without impacting your coursework or placements.

Develop Your Emergency & Critical Care Skills

You’ll be working in a busy hospital environment, supporting a varied and interesting caseload, including urgent and emergency patients.

This role is ideal if you’re curious about, or hoping to pursue a future in:

Emergency & Critical Care (ECC)

Hospital-based nursing

Advanced clinical practice

With access to excellent facilities — including in-house diagnostics, imaging, surgical theatres, and inpatient care — you’ll gain exposure to real cases that will accelerate your learning.

Support Every Step of the Way

You’ll be part of a friendly, experienced, and collaborative team who are passionate about helping student nurses grow and succeed.

This is a supportive environment where you can:

Ask questions

Build your practical confidence

Learn from experienced vets and nurses

Who We’re Looking For

To be considered, you must:

Be currently enrolled in an accredited Veterinary Nursing degree programme in Ireland (Bachelor of Science qualification)

Be eligible for VCI registration upon completion of your qualification

Have a genuine interest in developing your clinical and ECC skills

Be enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn

Why This Role Stands Out

Gain real clinical exposure alongside your studies

Build experience in emergency and critical care

Work hours that fit around college commitments

Boost your confidence before qualifying

Set yourself up for future career opportunities in ECC

Start Building Your Future Now

This isn’t just a part-time job — it’s an opportunity to get ahead, gain experience, and stand out as a newly qualified nurse.
