We are currently looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join the leadership team at our fantastic practice in North Tyneside. We have a large, friendly team working over five sites in North Tyneside, Newcastle and Northumberland.
About the role
As a Practice Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily practice life. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead and motivate a team of veterinary professionals, and foster a positive, supportive work environment. You will work closely with the Director of Practice and Clinical Services managing budgets, financial reporting, and billing processes to ensure efficiency and profitability, while also maintaining strong client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns promptly.
The role includes developing and implementing procedures to optimise operational efficiency, such as scheduling, inventory management, and patient flow, along with ensuring full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and veterinary standards. You will also uphold health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff, clients, and animals, and proactively address operational challenges by identifying practical solutions that enhance both practice performance and client satisfaction.
Hours of work
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm. We offer flexibility within this window, so whether you prefer an 8am–4pm schedule or a 9am–6pm finish, we’re happy to accommodate your preferred working hours.

We are seeking an experienced manager who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively. You will bring excellent people skills, strong organisational abilities, and a solid understanding of finance, with the capacity to quickly adapt to new tasks and systems. Experience in Health and Safety management, project coordination, and accreditation processes would be highly advantageous. The role may occasionally require travel between our branches; therefore, a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. All petrol expenses will be fully reimbursed
