We are seeking a welcoming, organised Receptionist to join our team at Bridge Vets.on a part time basis.
Bridge Vets is a wonderful practice situated within the South Wales valleys, which provides easy access to both cities (Newport, Cardiff & Bristol) and the countryside. The Brecon Beacons National Park is on our doorstep, providing opportunities for walking, climbing, cycling and horse riding. How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
You will work 28 hours per week, worked across 3 days Monday to Friday plus 1:5 Saturday mornings. The role is based at our main site in Pontllanfraith with shifts at our branch surgery in Brynmawr.
General responsibilities include:
Greeting all clients in a friendly and professional way.
Answer telephone calls from clients in a welcoming and calm manner.
Provide excellent customer service, informing and educating clients sympathetically.
Convert inquiries into appointments to maintain pet healthcare.
Efficiently organise the appointment diary.
Handle and update client data and records.
Record relevant information in the practice system to support the clinical team.
Ensure the accuracy of invoices and collect payments on the day of treatment.
Make reminder calls and reschedule missed appointments.
Educate clients on basic animal care.
