This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm, with occasional Saturdays and evenings when required.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role with accountability for operational and commercial performance
Strong financial and business management capability, including experience with planning and P&L oversight
The ability to lead, engage, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams
Experience leading through change and driving cultural or transformational initiatives
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Overall leadership of a practice with the autonomy to shape strategy, culture, and performance
Senior-level influence across operations, client experience, and business outcomes
Opportunities to lead large-scale change and drive long-term organisational impact

We are looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking Director of Practice to lead and grow our high-quality first opinion multi-site group including a main hospital and specialist dental facility, where collaboration, development, and team wellbeing are central to everything we do.
As Director of Practice, you will work closely with Senior Vets, Senior Nurses, the Customer Care Lead, and central support teams. You will play a pivotal role in the leadership and management of the practice, with a strong focus on communication, collaboration, and relationship building. Located in Backworth, just outside Newcastle, Moorview Vets offers the perfect balance of city convenience and coastal lifestyle. With miles of beautiful Northeast coastline nearby and Newcastle’s vibrant culture within easy reach, there’s plenty to enjoy outside of work.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As Director of Practice , you will have overall responsibility for the operational, commercial, and people performance of one or more practices or hospitals, working closely with clinical leadership to deliver outstanding patient and client care.
You’ll set and execute the strategic direction of the practice(s), lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of high standards across operations, client experience, and business performance. This role plays a critical part in shaping culture, driving results, and supporting sustainable growth.
