Customer Care / Receptionist

Anicare Veterinary Group – Glasnevin, Dublin
Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Salary: Up to €29,432 DOE
Closing Date: 15th July 2026

Anicare Veterinary Group is looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused Customer Care / Receptionist to join our busy small animal practice in Glasnevin.

Located opposite the beautiful Botanic Gardens, our practice is undergoing a complete refurbishment and will reopen in a newly renovated, modern facility from the beginning of August. You'll be joining a welcoming and supportive team of 3 veterinary surgeons, 3–4 veterinary nurses and a fellow receptionist who are all committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care.

About the role

As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a key role in creating a warm and professional experience for every visitor. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. Alongside managing reception, you'll also provide valuable administrative support, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. As our existing receptionist also manages insurance claims and accounts administration, this role is essential in providing reception cover and supporting the wider team.

The role includes welcoming clients and their pets, answering telephone and email enquiries, booking and managing appointments using our Merlin practice management system, processing payments and end-of-day cash procedures, maintaining stock levels, assisting with deliveries, supporting general administration, maintaining high standards throughout the practice, and developing product knowledge to confidently assist clients with their queries.

About us

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, remains calm under pressure and thrives in a busy environment. Previous reception or customer service experience is essential, and experience working within a veterinary practice or with animals would be a distinct advantage. Strong computer skills, excellent communication, attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service are key to success in this role.

Rota

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with only very occasional weekend work and no out-of-hours requirements. Shifts are 8.00am–5.00pm or 10.00am–7.00pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

At Anicare, we are a progressive small animal veterinary group with a loyal and dedicated client base. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding patient care while fostering a workplace built on teamwork, respect and kindness. If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to both clients and colleagues, we'd love to hear from you.
