How you'll make a difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
The role will involve welcoming clients and their pets, answering telephone calls, booking appointments, handing out dispensed medication and taking payments along with daily administrative tasks. You must ensure our waiting area is fresh, clean and welcoming at all times is also essential. You will be asked to relay client queries to vets or nurses and respond to clients.
Client care is paramount in this position with an emphasis on exceeding customer expectation throughout the entire client journey. This role is akin to a front of house position in any hospitality role and clients must feel well looked after through booking an appointment, visiting the vet and any follow up communication required. Please note this role is not part of our Clinical Staff Team and will not involve working directly with animals.
This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week. You will be working 8 hour shifts 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), between 8.15 and 19.30. There will also be 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
