Dental Vets, part of inspiring vet care, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Practice Manager to lead our dedicated team at our specialist dental referral practice in Haddington. As Practice Manager, you will lead the non-clinical operations of the practice, working closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience.
You’ll be responsible for operational delivery, people management, and compliance, while supporting the practice to achieve its performance, quality, and service objectives. This role plays a key part in creating a positive culture and enabling clinical teams to deliver excellent care.
Lead, support, and develop the non-clinical team while fostering a positive and collaborative culture
Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice to ensure efficient workflows and an excellent client experience from first contact through to follow-up care
Manage rotas, recruitment, onboarding, and team development
Drive financial performance through budgeting, KPI monitoring, and service improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with RCVS standards, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
Oversee facilities management, equipment maintenance, and stock control
Handle client feedback professionally and proactively
Support marketing and community engagement activities
Co-ordinate and drive social media campaigns
Working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm
You are an experienced people and operations manager with strong leadership capability. You’ll bring:
Proven experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, or service-led environments
Strong people management skills, including performance management and team development
Good operational and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience handling complaints, change, and complex situations with confidence
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
