We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Blaise Referrals on a part-time basis.
 
Spanning an impressive 36,000 sq ft, our hospital is one of the largest in the UK. With the capacity to treat up to 10,000 pets annually, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist-led multi-discipline veterinary referrals and offer round-the-clock emergency care services to pet owners across the Midlands.
 
Conveniently located with easy access from the A38 through Longbridge, our site is an integral part of the West Longbridge regeneration project.
 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
 
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
 

Working Pattern

 
  • Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday – 8.5-hour shifts
  • Week 2: Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday – 8.5-hour shifts
  • Week 3: Monday and Tuesday – 8.5-hour shifts

    Key Responsibilities

     
  • Be the initial point of contact for referring vets, partner practices and pet owners when making appointments
  • Welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
  • Work within a dedicated team focused on delivering a high standard of client care
  • Maintain and update electronic and physical medical records accurately and securely, ensuring confidentiality at all times
  • Collect fees for services rendered, process payments and issue invoices or receipts
  • Monitor and order office and reception supplies as required
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure cleanliness and organisation of the reception area, waiting room and communal spaces
