We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Martin and Carr Vets on a part-time basis.
 
Martin and Carr are a traditional practice with a modern twist. We are situated on the edge of a quaint, tourist town and within walking distance of a train station that will get you to Worcester in 10 minutes and Birmingham in 40 minutes.
 
We have a friendly and supportive team of 7 Vets, 9 Nurses, and wonderful support staff. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Medicine, Surgery and Endoscopy.
 
We are a purpose-built facility with on-site digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy equipment.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
 
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. 
 
You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
 
You will work a variety of shifts over 25 hours per week across both our Pershore and Evesham surgeries, including 1:2 Saturday mornings.
 
General responsibilities include:
 
  • Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere
    Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently
    Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and general pet care information
    Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and laboratory results
    Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. 
    Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies
    Provide support during busy periods by helping with client communications and follow-ups
