Earlswood Veterinary, an RCVS-accredited general and referral hospital in Belfast, is seeking an experienced and proactive Client Finance Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a key role within the practice, ensuring the effective management of client finance from initial consultation to final payment.
About the Role
As Client Finance Manager, you will:
Implement and oversee debt management protocols to meet KPIs and control outstanding payments. Support and guide client-facing staff in financial discussions, ensuring adherence to established protocols to minimize 30-day+ debt. Collaborate with clinical, finance, and admin teams to ensure smooth invoice generation, insurance claim submissions, and receipt of payments within agreed terms. Monitor client payment responsibilities, providing clear communication and addressing any concerns sensitively. Regularly present detailed debt and financial reports to the management team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate with proven experience in debt management, excellent communication skills, and a professional yet empathetic approach to client interactions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess strong time management and organiszational abilities.
Essential Criteria:
A qualification in finance, accounting, credit control, or a related field or a qualification relevant to the role (e.g., practice management) with extended experience in finance, debt management or credit control At least two years of experience in a finance, debt management, or credit control role. Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office or equivalent tools. A confident and professional demeanour.
Desirable Criteria:
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CICM). Experience in a clinical or veterinary background.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. There are no weekend or on-call duties.
