Veterinary Receptionist/Admin

Millburn Veterinary Practice, Coleraine, Coleraine, Northern Ireland & Isle of Man

Discipline: Non-clinical Support

Part Time

Up to £27,000 per annum

Apply

At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist/Admin to join our team at Millburn Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

Coleraine, a picturesque town in County Londonderry, sits along the scenic River Bann and is known as the gateway to the stunning Causeway Coast. Rich in history and a vibrant market town, it’s the perfect location for adventure. With excellent transport links and close proximity to iconic attractions like the Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, and the breathtaking north coast, there’s plenty to explore. Plus, with Belfast and the nearest airport only an hour away, you can enjoy the tranquility of Coleraine while easily accessing the city’s amenities.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist/Admin, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role working 30 hours, Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to front-of-house reception duties, this role will involve a range of administrative responsibilities, including processing and submitting insurance claims, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the  practice. The ideal candidate will be capable of multi-tasking and will have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment; experience within a veterinary setting would be highly desirable. Experience handling sensitive and confidential information, working to tight deadlines, and using IT systems is essential. As this can be an emotionally challenging environment for both clients and pets, the ability to remain calm, compassionate, professional, and approachable under pressure is essential. The successful candidate must be flexible and available to work evenings and weekends as required.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

You are a friendly, organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys working as part of a team. You’ll bring:

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong focus on service and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues
