Handling and processing equine insurance claims efficiently and accurately
Liaising with insurance companies, clients and veterinary staff
Managing debt administration, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up on payments
Maintaining accurate financial and client records
Answering telephone calls and dealing with client enquiries in a professional manner
Supporting general office administration as required
Previous administrative experience
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks efficiently
Competence in basic IT systems and office software
Equine knowledge
A key client-facing role within a supportive and collaborative practice team

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Pool House Equine Vets on a part-time basis.
Pool House Equine Hospital has been a significant part of the community for many years and has been a beacon of high-quality veterinary care for our clients. Our staff are our biggest strength, alongside the fantastic facilities we have to offer. The group has specialist-trained colleagues and referral specialists in surgery, diagnostics, medicine, lameness and poor performance.

Working Pattern
This is a part-time permanent role working 27 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 10:30am-4:30pm and Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm.
