We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at South Lincs Vets on a part-time basis.
 
South Lincs Vet Group, based in beautiful Lincolnshire, offers a serene setting for your career. We are formed of our main hospital and four branch practices in Freiston (where this role will be based), Pinchbeck, Heckington and Holbeach. We're not just a veterinary practice; we're a family. How You’ll Make a Difference 

 
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. 
 
You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
 
The working hours will include a mixture of early and late shifts at Freiston branch. 32 hours per week including weekend work on rota basis at Sutterton Hospital.
 
General responsibilities include:
 
  • Representing the surgery as the first point of communication for all clients.
    Offering the highest levels of customer service; always listening to client’s needs, acting with urgency and always following up on outstanding queries for clients.
  • Keeping patients at the centre of everything we do. Greeting where suitable and checking in with owners on arrival regarding their pets care.
  • Dealing with a range of situations with clients offering empathy where needed, advice from vets, guidance with care plans and taking payments for both large procedures and appointments.
  • Passing varied information over to clients from the veterinary team regarding medication, prescriptions, appointments and treatments.
  • Being able to handle conversations around financial situations with ease and confidence.
  • Answering the phone with consistent attention to detail and customer service, taking care to listen particularly when relaying crucial information to the vet team.
  • Inputting a variety of information into our database/systems such as appointment details, animal weights and prescription requests.
  • Cash handling on a daily basis as well as taking card payments throughout the day.
  • Supporting with insurance claims including giving clients information regarding their insurance claim where necessary.
  • End of day cashing up and banking.
  • Ensuring the reception environment is kept clean, professional and inviting.
