We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Stocks Vet Centre on a part-time, fixed term basis.
We have a close-knit team of 25 staff, including 5.4 FTE highly experience vets, 7 nurses, and 7 support staff.
We are a well-established, two-site first-opinion practice nestled in the stunning Worcestershire countryside, perfectly positioned between the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds. Both locations offer ample parking and convenient access to the M5, with excellent links to Worcester, Birmingham, and Bristol. Our practice prides itself on a strong sense of community, bonded clients, and a commitment to outstanding client care and animal welfare.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.
You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
We are looking for a receptionist to work a 16-hour position covering both the Upton and Lower Wick locations.
Key Responsibilities
Answering the telephone and dealing with emails
Processing medication and food orders
Booking appointments and diary management
Dispensing prescribed medication
Taking payments and dealing with account enquiries
Placing stock orders and assisting with dispensary organisation and management
General administrative work including accurate record keeping and filing
Cleaning duties to maintain a tidy reception, waiting area, dispensary and staff areas
Giving pet care advice within the remit of the receptionist role and referring queries to nurses and vets when necessary
Liaising with the vets, nursing team, other receptionists and wider admin team
Dealing with upset clients in difficult circumstances
