Are you an enthusiastic, motivated, and caring individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy team and provide gold-standard care to our valued clients and their pets.

About the Role


As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face of our practice, greeting clients and their pets with empathy and professionalism. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing busy telephone lines and scheduling appointments.
  • Handling email correspondence and client queries with care.
  • Processing payments, managing stock, and assisting with account and insurance queries.
  • Ensuring the practice remains clean, organised, and well-stocked.
  • Providing administrative support and, occasionally, assisting the clinical team with animal handling during consultations (non-clinical tasks).

  • Position mainly based at Witham branch but will need to cover all branches, mainly late shifts but will be a mixture

    What We’re Looking For


    We are looking for someone with proven customer service experience—while veterinary reception experience is a bonus, it’s not essential. A passion for client care, outstanding communication skills, and strong IT proficiency (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) are key. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and possess excellent attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied shifts across all branches is also required.

    All training will be provided on-site, making this a fantastic opportunity to build your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. Your role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of the practice and supporting our nurses and vets.

    Working Hours


    This part-time position offers 25.87 hours per week. Monday to Friday - 7.45am - 7.15pm (working a range of shifts, mainly a late shift of 1.15pm - 7.15pm)  Also included on a Saturday Rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays.
