We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Easipetcare, Chatham on a full-time basis. This is a fixed-term contract for the month of August 2026.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

 

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

 

Working Pattern

 
  • 40 hours per week
  • Mix of early and late shifts in line with the practice rota between 8 am - 7:30 pm

    Key Responsibilities

     
  • Assist with the care and monitoring of inpatients under the direction of the veterinary team
    Prepare and maintain consulting rooms, theatre and clinical areas to a high standard
    Support the veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses with routine clinical and husbandry tasks
    Ensure equipment, consumables and clinical areas are maintained and appropriately stocked
    Uphold infection prevention and biosecurity protocols
    Deliver a professional and compassionate service to clients and their pets
    Contribute positively to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
