We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Spring Lodge Vets on a fixed-term, full-time basis.

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

 

Working under the direction of a veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients. 

 

This is a very rewarding role, comprising 40 hours per week, with a 1:4 Saturday morning shift on a shared rota. Shifts are between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm and will be split across the hospital in Witham and the other 5 surrounding branches

 

 

Animal care duties such as cleaning, patient handling, and general husbandry

Laboratory tasks and sample processing

Driving responsibilities as needed

Client-facing interactions, providing excellent customer service

Working across all 6 of our fantastic sites

Answering phone calls and handling inquiries

Scheduling appointments and managing bookings

Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
