We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Berry House Vets on a part-time basis.

This is a great opportunity to join an established and friendly team where your client care and communication skills can make a real difference.  The working hours will be 8am-2pm on a Thursday and Friday (1pm finish may be considered), plus occasional Saturday mornings on al rota basis. 

Berry House is an established veterinary practice in central Hitchin, 5 minutes walk from the mainline railway station.  We have an experienced and long standing team who will support your induction and growth within the role. 

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Key Responsibilities

This is a front of house position so you should be comfortable communicating with the general public, there is little animal handling but we encourage interaction with our clients and their pets.  A warm, friendly and welcoming approach is essential.  The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a client care position, possess excellent telephone manner and be keen to provide an exemplary level of client care.
