We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Kingston Vets on a full-time permanent basis.

The group offer a variety of referral services. The group have a fantastic and hardworking team of 19 committed veterinary surgeons, dedicated RVN's and a friendly, enthusiastic, support team. 
We aim to offer consistency and high standards of client care to ensure that we can offer a high-quality service. Staff welfare and job satisfaction is prioritised at Kingston Vet Group. Vets Now Emergency work out of our Park Street site meaning that there is no need to transfer hospitalised patients between sites. Kingston is a fantastic place to work, where no two days are the same.
 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

 

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

 

Working Pattern

 
  • 4 x 10 hour shifts - one of these will be a Saturday
  •  

    Key Responsibilities

    Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Assisting Veterinary Surgeons and RVN’s with patient’s and adhering to the patient’s needs.
  • Manual handling and caring for animals with empathy and compassion.
  • Focusing on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the practice.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
  • Running laboratory tests and packaging samples.

  • Experience of working with animals in either a clinical or non-clinical setting would be advantageous
