We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Sampson Park on a part-time permanent basis.

 
Located on the outskirts of Peterborough, Sampson Park Vets combines excellent transport links and city convenience with the benefits of a countryside lifestyle. The historic town of Stamford, home to the renowned Burghley Horse Trials, is less than 30 minutes away, offering the perfect balance between practicality and leisure.
 
Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced technology including endoscopy and laparoscopy. We provide a broad range of services, including exotics, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, as well as ophthalmology referrals, creating a dynamic and rewarding environment for our team.

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

 

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

 

Working Pattern

 We are looking to cover 18 hours per week, in 1 part time position. The role would also include a share of 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 8.30-12.00. No OOH. Flexibility for holiday and sick cover will also be required.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients to the practice
  • Manage appointment bookings and diary scheduling
  • Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records
  • Support the veterinary and nursing teams with day-to-day practice operations
