We are hiring a Theatre Technician to join our team!
The role of Theatre Technician is vital to the smooth running of our theatres. There are many numerous responsibilities that can change at a moment’s notice, so we are seeking a positive and proactive person who enjoys the challenge of identifying a task required and fixing it before any of the clinical team knew it needed to be addressed.
Attention to detail is a much-required skill as our theatre technicians will review forms for the planned procedures and ensure all equipment is available prior to surgery. There will be an element of patient movement around the hospital plus, where needed, clipping and preparation of the patient. We have many procures to ensure that the theatres and all the equipment in them meet our stringent levels of sterility, so a large part of the role will involve removal of instruments and cleaning down between any procedure. Our theatre assistants also open the kits and equipment for our surgeons while maintaining a sterile environment.
