Belmont Vets has a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional receptionist to join our busy veterinary practice
As part of our front facing client care team, you will provide a friendly and efficient service for our clients and their pets.
You will need a dedicated and can-do approach. To have the ability to remain calm under pressure and also show empathy. For example, sharing the excitement of a puppy's first visit to the vets or comforting a client who has received some bad news.
We are professional and personable team working in a very challenging and busy environment, which makes the role varied, interesting and no day is ever the same!
Day to day duties of the role will include
Answering the phones and dealing with client's requests and queriesGreeting clients, booking appointments and arrivals using a computerised diaryTaking payments on the day of visit and ensuring all insurance documentation is processed correctly for the insurance team.Book repeat prescriptions and dispense flea and wormer treatments as per clinical instructionTo liaise with the appropriate veterinary teams and departments ensuring effective communication between staff and clientsRegistration and promotion of our Healthcare Plan, making clients aware of the savings and benefits available on routine treatmentsExperience in using and updating database systems and general IT confidence (Excel, Word, Outlook)Responding to emails in a prompt mannerEnsuring the reception areas are clean and tidy and that adequate stock is available for salePrevious receptionist or customer facing experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be given. Most importantly, we are looking for a team player who is flexible and adaptable - as there are so many aspects to the role, we need someone who is quick thinking and willing to learn!

Your shift pattern
This is a part time position, with a minimum of 25 hours per week. These are on a rota from Monday through to Friday, the morning shift starts at 8am until 1pm, and a changeable 1-1.30pm start to 6pm-6.30pm finish for the afternoon shift.
The salary for this role is up to £13,729.60.
