Area Support Manager – Northern Ireland
Location: Home-based with regular travel across Northern Ireland, IOM & Scotland
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum DOE

As we continue to evolve our operating model across Northern Ireland, we're looking for an organised, proactive and collaborative Area Support Manager to join our team on a permanent basis.
Working closely with the Area Director, you'll play a vital role in supporting a portfolio of veterinary practices, ensuring operational excellence, consistency and effective delivery of key business priorities. This is a varied role that combines operational coordination, performance support and relationship management, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As Area Support Manager, you'll act as the key operational link between practices and our central support teams, ensuring agreed priorities, processes and frameworks are implemented effectively.
Operational & Practice Support
Be the primary operational contact for Practice Managers and Clinical Directors.
Support the implementation of business initiatives, operational frameworks and agreed processes.
Resolve day-to-day operational issues, escalating risks where appropriate.
Monitor actions and ensure timely follow-up and accountability.
Performance & Reporting
Coordinate the collection and distribution of operational and financial performance data.
Support practices in understanding KPIs, dashboards and scorecards.
Identify trends, opportunities and risks, providing insight to the Area Director.
Track actions from performance reviews to ensure progress.
Finance & Commercial Support
Support the monthly financial reporting cycle across practices.
Coordinate financial insights and performance information.
Help ensure compliance with purchasing, debt management and reporting processes.
Practice Visits & Operational Cadence
Conduct regular practice visits using agreed operational checklists.
Provide practical, on-site support to practice teams.
Organise leadership meetings, area forums and regular operational calls.
Prepare agendas, reports, presentations and meeting minutes.
People, Training & Compliance
Support the onboarding of Practice Managers and Clinical Directors.
Monitor mandatory training and compliance completion.
Assist with recruitment activity in line with approved budgets.
Identify and escalate governance, clinical, health & safety or compliance concerns.
About You
You'll be an organised and proactive operational professional with experience supporting multiple sites or locations. You'll be comfortable working with data and performance information while building strong relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders.

Monday – Friday

We're looking for someone with
Experience supporting operations across multiple locations or sites, strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail, confidence interpreting performance data and reporting information, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to influence and support others without direct line management responsibility, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, a collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused approach, a full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Northern Ireland, Scotland & IOM.
