Payroll Support Technician

IVC Evidensia operates a high growth model, typically looking to acquire around 300 sites a year across all countries.  

As part of the Central Support Payroll Team working with our outsourced payroll provider, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of monthly payrolls of around 15,000 employees within IVC Evidensia including all non-IVC and newly acquired Companies. You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced growing environment and to be a good Team Player. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the jobholder will be expected to manage their daily workload ensuring that payroll deadlines are met and to deliver a payroll service effectively & efficiently.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting our Surgeries with payroll queries and general guidance in connection with payroll processing
  • Calculating Maternity Pay & Statutory Sick Pay
  • Support with various data uploads for Payroll processing 
  • Deal with HMRC queries
  • Undertake weekly NMW checks to ensure IVC Evidensia is compliant with NMW Legislation
  • To act as support and back-up for the payroll build process for all new acquisitions, including the gathering of information, completion of the initial build, reconciliation of payroll data & supporting new Surgeries through the process
  • Co-ordination of data collection from Surgeries to enable the processing of journals and all payroll related payments
  • Supporting the team achieving department SLA’s
  • Assisting with the processes around Childcare Vouchers, Court Orders & Cycle to Work scheme including the associated control accounts
  • Any other tasks as directed

  • Experience/Qualifications:


  • Able to work to a high degree of accuracy 
  • Demonstrable Payroll knowledge & understanding of basic payroll accountancy
  • Good analytical skills
  • Confident in dealing with a high-volume workload
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills including Excel
  • A flexible approach to work
  • A strong team ethic
