Transformation Lead, Rebates - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Healthy animals and happy owners – that’s the goal.

At IVC Evidensia, we are a leader in veterinary care, dedicated to enhancing the well-being of animals through our extensive network of clinics. We generate significant revenue from volume-based rebates and strategic discounts negotiated with suppliers and manufacturers of products that we use and sell within our clinics. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and strategic Transformation Lead, Rebates to join our team.

As the Transformation Lead, you will play a critical role in optimising our end-to-end rebate management process. You will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, implementing efficiencies, and mitigating risks to enhance our income generation. This is an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful change within our organization and contribute to our ongoing success.

This role is being offered on a 12-month contract basis.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Partner with the existing team to deliver identified improvements in foundational rebate management steps, refine procedural principles (SOP’s, SLA’s and RACI’s) and system optimisation opportunities.
Alongside execution of existing identified opportunities, drive identification of new opportunities to further enhance rebate processes.
Transform our approach to rebate calculation, supporting the RFP process for purchase of a third-party rebate calculation engine and the ultimate determination of whether we buy this solution or build in house.
Partner with the procurement organisation to secure improved data flow between IVCE and its wholesalers and suppliers.
Develop and produce weekly and monthly rebates reporting covering both progress against foundational/procedural measures of success and operating KPI’s, ensuring that adverse variances to target are quickly acted upon and redressed.
Effective project management and stakeholder influencing/engagement activity across a diverse array of team members in our group, local market and shared service organisations.
Additional capability to manage a diverse array of stakeholders outside of the core rebates process, that are nonetheless key parties involved in securing rebate process improvement – procurement, legal and IT as key partners.
Direct line management of a transformation analyst focused on detailed process interrogation and specific foundational step improvement (to include - contract terms refinement, master data management, root cause analysis, cross functional operating principles).
KPI’s for this role –
Rebate collection timeliness:
o   Rebate aging, across all markets
o   Rebate Days, again across all markets considering actuals, targets and ‘best possible’
o   Rebates ‘billed’ on time
o   Rebates recovered on time
Issue resolution timeliness
Balance sheet quality, as defined by minimisation of post-period adjustments, write-offs, etc

Experience/Qualifications:

Experience in an entrepreneurial environment, where decisions can be made quickly, processes can be immature and a hands-on approach helps everyone to succeed.
Deep expertise in the management of supplier rebate recovery, ideally from a retail, CPG or similar background.
Previous experience of team development, support and mentorship desirable but not essential.
Proficient in preparing material for, and presenting to senior executives with the aim of gaining engagement, maintaining buy-in and influencing key outcomes.
Competent project management skills, able to plan and deliver complex change in a fluid systems, processual and ways of working environment.
Self starter, able to define, design and deploy cross-functional initiatives and changes.
High levels of credibility to underpin influence of a complex stakeholder landscape.
Results oriented, committed to hands on delivery.
Extensive levels of experience in roles where cash generation has been a priority.
Knowledge and experience of rebate recovery/vendor management, Accounts Payable and Credit Control processes would be beneficial.

Following receipt of your application, you will be contacted by one of our experienced hire recruitment team.
