Our Technology teams are responsible for the systems and infrastructure that make that work - everything our healthcare professionals need to deliver world-class care. From keeping on top of patient records, health plans, client communications, diary management and dispensing, our teams have a lot to think about and need smarter ways to provide the convenience and expertise that modern Pet owners have come to expect.
As a Network Engineer at IVC Evidensia, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping our clinics and business locations connected, secure, and running at peak performance. Your work will combine technical depth, proactive problem‑solving, and expert support.
Key responsibilities include:
Safeguard network reliability and performance across a diverse European estate of clinics and corporate sites.
Provide 3rd‑line support for networking infrastructure, acting as a trusted escalation point for complex issues.
Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting and advising colleagues with your deep networking knowledge.
Deploy, configure, and maintain a wide range of networking technologies, ensuring consistent standards and high availability.
Proactively monitor network performance, capacity, and resilience — identifying and addressing risks before they become problems.
Administer and optimise solutions from Fortigate, Dell, and other key vendors to support evolving business needs.
Produce clear, user‑friendly documentation tailored to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Manage third‑party suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality services, and strong operational outcomes.
💡 What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is both technically strong and naturally curious — a problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑moving environment. You'll be covering all Ireland based Practises & Clinics, therefore a travel to sites would be required on a regular basis.
Your Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience in network design, support, and troubleshooting within IT infrastructure roles.
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Hands‑on expertise with Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 technologies, including their design, implementation, and optimisation.
A valid driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland for site-visits.
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, NSE4, or NSE5 (highly advantageous).
