When you're at your best, we're at ours.

At IVC Evidensia, when we say our people are the heart of what we do, we truly mean it. We could not be successful without the dedication, talent and excellence of our teams who support our patients each and every day.

Health and wellbeing support initiatives:

  • Active lifestyles: From our Cycle To Work scheme to discounted gym memberships, we offer a range of opportunities to be active in a way that works for you.
  • Care Fund: At IVC Evidensia, we understand that providing exceptional care extends beyond veterinary treatment. Our Care Fund is dedicated to supporting our colleagues in delivering the best possible care to both pets and their owners during challenging times, ensuring that compassionate support is always within reach.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP): Our 24-hour confidential hotline provides all colleagues with immediate access to professional support and guidance whenever they may need it. Whether facing personal challenges or work-related stress, our EAP is here to offer confidential assistance and resources.
  • Family-friendly policy: Our family friendly policies offer support and flexibility when you need it. From enhanced maternity and paternity pay, to return to work bonus' and flexible working options, we support you through your journey.

Flexible working

We offer flexible working to support all colleagues, allowing them to work around responsibilities or commitments, or just find a work life balance that works for them. At IVC Evidensia we care about all our colleagues and want to ensure we are doing what we can to support you, while still offering the same great progression and development opportunities.

Health and wellbeing support initiatives:

  • Menopause support: our Colleague Care Hub has a dedicated menopause page with help to find support, a Menopause Action plan to help line managers and colleagues work together, and resources to support colleagues.

  • Mental Health Awareness in Agriculture training: a new initiative to support those in the agricultural sector. Providing necessary support to ensure vets have the skills to spot the signs of mental health crises and equip them with the resources to signpost anyone in need towards appropriate support, as well as understanding how to deliver difficult news to farming clients about their livestock while protecting their own mental health.
  • Colleague Care Hub: This holds a wealth of resources and support items covering a range of wellbeing concerns, from financial to mental health, from neurodiversity to stress awareness. We also have a Colleague Care Calendar detailing our focus each month and the resources available.

Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Champions Network

We have a network of trained Mental Health First Aider’s across the UK, who can be contacted by any colleague that needs this help. Our MHFAs receive ongoing training so they can best support others. We regularly review this network to ensure we’ve got coverage across a variety of roles and locations, that they are approachable and there to help when needed.

We’re proud to have over 400 dedicated Wellbeing Champions across the UK. These colleagues support their local teams, promoting wellbeing resources, listening and signposting to help, whether internal or external.

Top Employer certification

We are proud to have achieved a new milestone in our aim of making IVC Evidensia a great place to work, with the award of Top Employers 2025 certification.

Run by the Top Employers Institute, this certification recognises organisations across the globe that are positively impacting the lives of colleagues, and assesses factors including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity, equity & inclusion, and wellbeing among others.

Workplace Wellbeing Accreditation

We’re delighted to announce that our colleague wellbeing efforts have been officially recognised and accredited through the Workplace Wellbeing Charter. The Workplace Wellbeing Charter is an accreditation standard awarded by Health at Work that recognises organisations who are committed to improving the lives of colleagues.

They reviewed the full range of our mental and physical health resources and explored different areas of our business that come together to influence wellbeing, including leadership, absence management, health and safety, culture, inclusion and sustainability.

We will also continue to work closely with Health at Work to strengthen and expand our approach to wellbeing; while prioritising colleague feedback to ensure we’re offering industry-leading resources, tools and support.

Mindful Employer

We are pleased to confirm we have signed the Mindful Employer Charter, demonstrating our commitment to creating a supportive and open culture where colleagues feel able to talk about their mental health with confidence, and find appropriate support when needed. Colleagues who have experienced mental ill health will not be discriminated against, and disclosure of a mental health concern will enable colleagues and line managers to work together to find the right support

Exciting opportunities throughout the UK

IVC Evidensia's vets, nurses and support teams are our greatest asset - because only their skills, enthusiasm and dedication can make things happen.
